let the dog decide!!!! (part one)

ok... i have a dog.... duh.

and like most dog owners, i purchase doggie
treats almost weekly to satisfy my urge to
bless the poor dear with goodies.

i always buy boogie (my dog) rawhide bones
and some other treat.

i have been tempted to make my own damned
doggie biscuits and i tell you what... i
just did. i have a total of 6 recipes for
doggie treats. i will make each recipe
and let my dog decide which she likes best.

today i made:

'milkbone' dog biscuits
(you can get the recipe HERE )

i also went ahead and added the variant because
i wanted to add sugar.

now since i already had eggs, sugar, salt,
margarine and water, all i had to purchase
was the wheat flour and powdered milk (total cost: $2.50)

this will come in handy for the remaining
recipies.

the recipe made a total of 48 1.5 inch cookies.
they are baking now.... will see how boogie
likes them when they come out.

also, i will post more recipes and their
results as they come.

i see no reason why a human couldn't eat them.
although i'll be honest, right now my kitchen
smells like a bakery (too much wheat smell).

AAAAAAWWWWWWWWW Shatzy......I wanna see a picture of your whole dog. Not just it's head, but it's whole body! *S*

Those snacks do look kinda good though! I remember when I was little, my grandma caught me eating dog food, a couple of months later....it was cat food. I dunno why, it's just one of those stages I went through as a kid. I ate dog food and cat food and if I remember correctly, it tasted pretty damn good. My mom made me stop eating it telling me it would get me sick. I dunno, the phase didn't last long though.

Oh your dawgy is ssssssoooooo purrty Shatzy girl!!!! I get all mushy and gooie when I see a beautiful dog! God, just looking at that picture makes me want to take him outside and play with him and just rub him until his hair falls out.

I want a dawg or either my "sheriff". I miss my dawg! Damn mean landlords!!
